Secret Fantasy — Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 8, 2026
Secret Fantasy ("the app") is a library of interactive fiction published by Chinese Powered ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and by whom. The short version: we run no servers and hold no account data. The only data collection comes from the advertising, purchase, and notification services described below, and you control the advertising and notification parts.
Data stored on your device only
Your reading progress — episodes completed, choices made, your reading streak, gem balance, and the display name you type for your character in each story — is saved in the app's local storage on your device. We never see it; it is not uploaded anywhere by us. Deleting the app deletes this data. (It may be included in your phone's own device backups, which follow your Apple/Google backup settings.)
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows optional rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google's SDK may collect device information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from it, and ad-interaction data, used for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.
- Consent: where required (EEA/UK), a consent form is shown before any ad, and you can revisit your choice anytime via "Ad privacy options" on the library screen. On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt controls whether ads may use your device's advertising identifier.
- Without consent, ads are served non-personalized.
- Details: Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data in AdMob.
Purchases (RevenueCat)
Optional gem packs are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment details. Purchase receipts are validated by RevenueCat, which processes a pseudonymous app-generated identifier and purchase history to deliver what you bought and prevent fraud. Your gem balance is shared across every story in the library. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Analytics
The app may record anonymous reading counters (for example, "an episode was completed") to help us understand which parts of a story work. These events carry no name, email, contacts, or message content, and no account exists to tie them to.
Notifications
If you grant notification permission, the app schedules a local, on-device reminder for when your next episode unlocks. That reminder is created on your device and is not sent through anyone.
Separately, we use OneSignal to send occasional announcements — a new story arriving in the library, for example. To deliver those, OneSignal assigns your installation a push token and may process device information such as device model, operating-system version, language, and IP address. None of it is tied to a name, email, or account, because the app has none. We may record which stories you have finished so an announcement about a story goes to readers of that story rather than everyone; we never send your typed character name.
Children
The app is a library of interactive stories with mature themes — romance, and depending on the story, organized crime or supernatural conflict — and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your choices
- Ad consent: "Ad privacy options" on the library screen (EEA/UK), and your device's tracking settings (iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking).
- Ad personalization can also be reset via your device's advertising-ID settings.
- Notifications: turn them off for the app in your device settings at any time. That stops both the local episode reminder and any announcement from us.
- All local data: delete the app, or use "Reset story" on an individual story's title screen to clear that story's progress.
Changes
If a future version changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version ships, with the date above revised.
